History of the Bank

In the epoch of happiness of the Independent State the Turkmen-Turkish Joint-Stock Commercial Bank carries out activity which is guided by tasks that Esteemed President of the Independent Permanent Neutral Turkmenistan Gurbangouly Berdimuhamedov aims to banks for the development and improvement of the banking structure. The bank was established on 31 March, 1993 in accordance with the Intergovernmental Memorandum signed between Turkmenistan and the Republic of Turkey on 02 May, 1992 as the first joint bank in Turkmenistan with foreign investment.

Shareholders of the Bank: from Turkmen part – «Agrosenagatbank» (at present State Commercial Bank “Daykhanbank”) and from part of Republic of Turkey - T.R. Ziraat Banky A.Ş. 

Thus, Turkmen-Turkish Joint-Stock Commercial Bank was established as a closed joint stock company with an equal stake of 50% of the State Commercial Bank “Daykhanbank” and TR Ziraat Banky A.Ş of Turkish Republic and is a multilateral bank which is a part of the unified banking system of Turkmenistan. 

On 20 February, 2003 the Central Bank of Turkmenistan has issued the license which gives the right to conduct credit and settlement, payment and other transactions as well as the General license which gives the right to conduct banking operations in foreign currency in the territory of Turkmenistan and abroad.
